Direct route to Silicon Valley: El Al鈥檚 newest destination

El Al Takes Off to Silicon Valley with Direct Route to San Francisco
In a move to tighten ties between Israel and the technological epicenter of Silicon Valley, El Al has launched a new direct flight route to San Francisco. This 15-hour journey is set to satisfy the growing demands of the Israeli and business communities in the Bay Area.
Connecting Two Tech Hubs
Starting October 25, El Al will operate this new direct route three times a week, deploying their advanced Dreamliner aircraft to make the crossing as comfortable as possible. Flights will depart Israel under the flight number LY49, a playful nod to San Francisco鈥檚 own 49ers football team.
A Boost for Business and Community
As Shlomi Zafrani, El Al鈥檚 VP of commerce and sales, noted, the route bridges key economic poles鈥擳el Aviv and San Francisco鈥攂ringing closer the vibrant tech landscapes of each city. With a bustling Israeli presence in Silicon Valley, the new direct service is tailored for both business and leisure travel.
Expansion and Interline Cooperation
Part of a broader expansion, El Al's announcement came alongside 11 other new international destinations, underscoring its strategic growth. Simultaneously, its partnership with Delta Air Lines offers passengers seamless connections within North America, strengthening the airline's network and loyalty programs.
"San Francisco is one of the world鈥檚 most important centers of technology, innovation and business."
- Shlomi Zafrani
El Al continues to weave Israel into the world's map with strategic routes designed for work and play, aiming to meet the diverse needs of a connected global community.
