What it’s like to use Boston Logan’s new ‘remote terminal’

Boston Logan's Remote Terminal: A New Era for Airport Convenience
Introducing an innovative twist to the flying experience, Boston Logan International Airport now offers travelers the convenience of a 'remote terminal' located in Framingham, Massachusetts, designed to streamline the airport journey.
The Breaking Point
Kicking off on June 1, this pioneering concept allows passengers headed for Delta or JetBlue flights to skip the usual airport hassle by checking in, dropping off luggage, and clearing security well before arriving at Logan—more than 20 miles away in Framingham.
Beneath the Surface
A collaboration between Massport and the TSA, the remote terminal features a smaller, yet efficient setup akin to a miniaturized airport. From here, travelers board a Landline-operated bus that ensures a seamless connection, transporting passengers underground to Logan where they can head straight to their gates.
The Ripple Effect
As summer travel heats up, this program aims to reduce congestion at the airport, encouraging mass transit usage. While still in its pilot phase, with tickets priced comparably to other shuttle services, the critical feedback from early users will shape its future, potentially influencing airports nationwide.
